Beyond the ordinary

Here at Waikato Sailing, our mission is simple.

Get People Sailing!

The region is lucky to have inland, lake based sailing clubs in Hamilton city (Lake Rotoroa), Cambridge (on the famous Lake Karapiro) and Te Awamutu (Lake Ngaroto) as well as harbour clubs at Raglan (On the west coast) and Thames (at the bottom of the Coromandel Peninsula).

In addition, there is casual sailing happening at Port Waikato, and Huntly.

A little further away there are clubs in Manukau and Auckland to the north, with Rotorua, Taupo, and Tauranga not far away.

Originally started in 2023, and put on hold until late 2025 for personal reasons, we are proud to be back.
